Your big day has come and gone, photos have been taken, now it’s time to look into a beautiful wedding photo album to cement those memories! Then you find out from your photographer that they offer them for $1,000 or more. Seriously?!
Now, let me just preface this by saying, the albums photographers offer tend to be great quality and many times can be wrapped into a package cost with them. For those of you who may not be able to spend that much on an album, but also don’t want to spend 8 weeks printing pictures on your home printer and putting them into an album, we have some tips for you.
Nowadays there are plenty of options online for you to easily design and have a custom printed wedding album shipped to you to enjoy for years to come! Places like Black River Imaging, Mixbook, Milk Books, and Wedding Paper Divas all offer varying levels of custom wedding photo albums.
The best part with many of these, is all you’ll need is the pictures you want to use and some free time on the computer. They are generally template based, so you choose a design for your book, upload the pictures on the pages you want them to appear, type in your names and dates, etc. and before you know it, your wedding photo album is at your door!
If you have a Mac, your album is even easier! With the included application, iPhoto, you can create an album of your pictures and design a photo album within the program – and have it printed and shipped directly to you.
Not Sacrificing Quality for Cost
You may be thinking to yourself, “how are these photo albums going to be of any quality, these are my wedding photos and I don’t want them to look bad”. I hear you, and a couple of years ago I would have been hesitant to suggest online wedding photo album printers, but technology has advanced to the point where you can get a nice looking photo album that you got to customize online.
Another benefit is the range of cover options that are generally available to you. From art cloth wrapped to full photo covers, all the way up to leather covers in black and white with your photo centered. You’re getting something you want on your coffee table for guests to look at, and you and your special someone to reminisce with for years to come.
